Hi guys, most of you might know that i'm chairman of Dunfermline Wargaming And Roleplaying Fellowship. I'm just letting you know that there's a very strong possibility of a Warhammer 2250pt tournament taking place on June 16th here in sunny Dunfermline. Much along the same lines as your own much anticipated Tourney. I for one can't wait to come along and watch my army be destroyed ;D Hey It's the taking part that counts. This post is basically to test the water and see how many of you guys would be interested in coming along. I'm joining a few more club forums and passing the word out to gauge interest before we fully commit but we're looking at the possibility of having up to 42 players. We could probably accomodate more in our hall but the centre can only supply a certain amount of tables for our use I've been in touch with Kirkcaldy, ELG, Yourselves, Dunfermline Wargames Club and i'm off to invite folks from Falkirk and Darkfire up in Perth. Look forward to hearing from you, Brian

Though not a member of the Stirling club, I would be interested assuming it is open to anyone and not just club people.

It'll be open to whoever wants to take part on a strictly first come basis. Once i've got a general feel for numbers i'll let folks know when there is tickets available.
Are you a member of any club? Are you taking part in SoS?
I meant to say in the first post that there is also the possibility of a Magic Draft running on the same day dependant on numbers. If we can get 16 then it'll probably go ahead.

Hi Brian, it's great news that your tourney looks like it's all going ahead. I think that we could probably rustle up 10+ definates from Stirling Wargamers, plus a few more "maybes" more than likely. I'll spread the word and see if I can guage a little more accurately how many from our neck of the wood would be up for it. (I'll definately be up for it by the way)
Cheers

Thanks for the positive replys guys, as well as joining numerous club forums, I've also been out and about, letting my car and feet do a little work.
I've been doing the tours today. Visited both Kirkcaldys Lang Toun club and Dunfermline Wargamers. Looks like we can expect around a dozen or so from them. I've also had some word back from Darkfire, there might also be a few from there and another couple of possibles from Falkirk District Wargaming Club.
I've spent a bit of time with them explaining how as a group (Stirling, ELG and DWARF) are hoping to try and establish better links amongst groups in the locality so that we can all support one another. They seemed up for it and are interested.
Do any of you guys know any of the Falkirk players who were through at ELGs doubles tourney? Could you pass the word to them too. Apparently they're not members of Falkirk Wargamers or so i'm led to believe from FDWC.
Cheers,
Brian

Just a quick note to anyone interested in purchasing a ticket for the Tournament. Tickets will be going on general sale from Saturday the 12th May. They will be on a first come first served basis and are priced at £10 each. Any further information and a rulespack can be requested by emailing me at DWARFCLUB@aol.com. Please put your full name and club (if you're a member of one) on the email so that we know who we're talking to. We will take requests for tickets and payment for them at Carronade in Falkirk if anyone wants to pay that way rather than by cheque. Brian

Looks like we've sold all the tickets we need at DWARF so i'm taking pre-orders for tickets to be paid for at Carronade.
Paul did say in the past that there would probably be about 10 or so definates from Stirling.
If you're one of those definates PM me with your full name so that i can add you to the list.
If you also add your email address on the Pm then I'll send you a copy of the rulespack.
Cheers guys,
Brian

Just to let you guys all know how the pre-booking of tickets is going at the moment.
We have 34 spaces booked:
9 players from DWARF 6 who play at Falkirk Gamesworkshop 7 from Kirkcaldy (Lang Toun Gamers) 6 from Stirling Wargamers 2 from Dunfermline Wargames Club 3 from ELG 1 from Dundee
I've now had confirmation that we can up the entrants to 50 as the centre is going to ship in extra tables for us.
That said, If you still want a space, get back to me asap as that means there are only 16 spaces still available.
Any names put forward after the spaces have been filled will be added to a waiting list, in case anyone pulls out.
Cheers,
Brian
