Hi all this is to tell you all that Carronade 09 will be on Saturday 9th May 2009 at the Graeme High School Callender Road Falkirk between 10am and 4pm.We will again be running the flea market and painting competition.The categories for the painting competition are the following 1 Single Fantasy/Sci-fi figure any scale 2 Fantasy/Sci-fi unit and scale 3 Single Historical figure any scale and period 4 Historical unit any scale and period 5 Armoured Fighting Vehicle any scale and period including Sci-fi 6 Junior categorie under 16 any scale or period Unit size 20 infantry or 12 cavalry or 12 tanks Now i gave a invite to Donald ? up at the Skelp show in Forfar in October last year.So if you don't have one please pm me or contact me at the Falkirk club web site and i will send one out for your club.For more information on the show please visit the Falkirk club web site at www.falkirkwargamesclub.org.ukYours Kenny Thomson FDWC

Yes it well worth going to this event, really enjoy my time last year running the gaming table.
This year aim to spend a bit more time looking around.
Also some great buys as well. Got a lot old school White Dwarf for £10.
Can't wait to see what on show this year.

If anybody is interested in the deeds of Wallace & "The" Bruce there is going to be a 45 minute talk by Chris Brown (a well respected historian and author) covering the battles of Falkirk and Bannockburn. It should be run twice - once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
It's even OK for an Englishman like myself as we won one and lost one ;D

Yeah, the club will be running a 40k Participation game the same as Games Day last year.
