I have never had to wash or scrub them, it certainly never feels like there is any residue on them.
By the way I won't make it to the club on the 13th as I have to pick my folks up from the airport that night. But give me a shout when you free for a game!
Cheers

Hey folks, I would like some input, do I continue the White Zero theme on the the land fleet for the EoBS or change things a bit and theme the land force around samurai warriors (ie replacing the white with red and other extra details). To help you get an idea of what I mean I gimped an image to show the walker in the two different colours: My personal thought was that the red land force would contrast nicely with the sea force while still sticking to the same three basic paint colours (white, black and red) and would still hold true to the Japanese theme. Cheers

I prefer the white if I'm being honest.

And the small EoBS tanks look like something the robots used in Star Wars Ep 1-3 So when do you fancy giving it a go?

Riiiight..... I put it to you all that Callum is a witch.... Nobody paints that good, that fast. I say (Dons witchfinder Generals hat) that we all throw him in the Forth - if he floats, then he's obviously made of wood (as all witches are) and burn him!!!!!!! If he sinks, then obviously, my apologies dear sir (maybe a steam-squid'll save you?) And, btw - my hat, my rules! - when you're Witch finder General - you can make the rules Seriously - If you have actually painted buttons and a medal on that big robot and still try to claim that its a simple paintjob - Im gonna give you a slap on principle I noticed the jacket motife (I know thats spelt wrong), then afterwards saw the medal (because I had taken it to be part of the model) Its not............. All I can say is ridiculous... . . . . . (take commissions?? lol - actually 1/2 serious

Sounds good Gus Your right the Metzger turned out not to be a quick paint job... I got a bit carried away with than one. I am a bit worried about the witch test, I have seen shopping trollies float in the Forth, I would kindly request the Monty Python test... assuming you have an over sized set of scales and a duck? I find it hard to make myself sit down and paint my own stuff. So I have taken to painting 'fun' stuff like the detail on the Metzger just to amuse myself and stop the boredom from setting in. So I have not ever considered painting for others, but I will give anything a go once... within reason Cheers

I made a start to the EoBS land box set at the weekend and managed to get the Taka Ashi walker just about finished. It comes with two different tops: Turret Or pagoda Still 6 medium tanks 3 bombards and 10 tiny tank tokens to do though.

To change things up from painting and with inspiration from a great BoLS article: www.belloflostsouls.net/2011/10/hobby-making-cargo-transportsobjectives.htmlI decided to make some merchant ship objectives to play with. Though I didn't have the items they listed some high density foam, card board and kebab skewers did the job: Just to wait on the pva drying before I can paint this one and the two smaller ones I made. Here is the large one (quickly painted) with its two sister ships being escorted by Her Majesty's Royal Navy: Once I get the other two done its back to the grind of painting proper models. Cheers
