Hi all! My name is Giles, just moved to Stirling this week from Cambodia... However originally I am from sunny Norfolk. I am a big fan of Warhammer and other gaming systems although haven't played in a long while nor currently have any armies after I sold most of my gear upon leaving the country. Would love to come along this Thursday if that is ok? and would like to meet others of similar interests as I know very few people in stirling bar my girlfriend! If anyone has a 40k army they would be willing to hire me! or indeed if anyone is selling off a painted 40k or fantasy army I'd be interested to! (I want to get playing asap but take forever to paint stuff up, my last vampire counts army took me 3 years in total) I plan on visiting GW stirling for the first time later today so if you spot me about (the big/tanned/out of place looking guy) then say hello!

Hi Giles, welcome to the area.
You're more than welcome to come down to the club. The club exists to provide a venue for the hobby and whether you've never played or have been doing it for years you should feel right at home.
As chairman of the club normally I would give you a meet and greet this Thursday if you're down but alas, some stupid movie about sparkly vampires is out this week and my wife is going for dinner and drinks with friends beforehand so I can't make the club this week.
David will be around and will say hello should you choose to pop in.
Cheers Gus

I am aiming to pop in this week... What time does it all kick off? Shame you are being tortured with vampire-teen-poke-my-eye-out-ness... ;D BUT I am sure we will meet soon.
Thanks
Giles

Yeah and it's not just Thursday. I'm being kicked out the living room as she watches the first three films in the run up to the new release. As for the club, it runs from 6-10pm.

Nonsense.
6-10, then pub is the correct timeframe.

Hi Giles, Welcome to Stirling. Hope to meet you soon. Also, most people here don't seem to mind playing against unpainted armies it seems. Ben

Ok, 9.55 I shall endeavour to find like-minded-alcoholics to follow me to the pub! Although... If anyone is up for it, I will be heading to FUBAR (I think) for some drinks with the ladies from where I am staying... aka 4 SINGLE student nurses (+1 other non-single student nurse my GF) if you young gentleman would like to be introduced, we could skip the pub and head straight to the bar!!!!

How about we just skip the playing with toy soldiers altogether? Because your misses would cut your bits off?

Ok, so... I am back from my visit home and will be at the club this Thursday night! (yay) I am still a newbie to Stirling itself, so wanted to see if anyone is free 'outside of the club hours' for beers? gaming at GW? or ... 'insert suggestion'... If it helps, I am still living with a number of single student nurses? ?? (and yes, they are female!)
