So hopefully you get the Crystal Maze reference. But moving on the folks who made the wild west buildings I bought a few months back now have a very interesting line of futuristic scenery which is well worth a look: www.sarissa-precision.co.uk/store/system8/While there are no real life images of the actual products, only outline renders, there is a review of the products here: thefrontlinegamer.blogspot.com/2012/01/review-system-gantry-system-sarissa.htmlHere is a taster to wet your appetite: I only wish I had a futuristic game I played with any regularity to make it a worth while purchase. It reminds me of the outlying colony worlds from Mass Effect, to name one similarity. Given the amazing quality of their wild west buildings I hope someone picks up some of this. Even just so I can see it in the flesh, if not get game of something on it. Cheers

They look really nice and would agree with the Mass Effect theme as that was my first thought as well.
Maybe the club could invest in some of these and the wild west stuff.

It kind of makes me wish someone would make a Mass Effect skirmish tabletop game lol.

Very nice!
Are they sturdy enough to endure the treatment the scenery takes at the club? (I know you havn't actually seen these Callum, but Im guessing theyre similair construction to the wild west stuff)

The stuff is made from 3mm MDF, so once its glued together it's as sturdy as just about anything else. I can imagine stuff like the hand rails getting snapped in the course of heavy handed club use, but I suspect even if made of plastic (or anything short of metal) it would be just the same.
Cheers

Well like that review says, one of the biggest problems with people looking to start playing Infinity is the terrain. You can't just use any old 40k terrain as it doesn't look right.
This stuff looks ideal for Infinity, Urban War or (mixed with some 40k) Necromunda.

i seen this set up in maelstrom games a few weeks back, although i dont particularily like the wood etched colour that scenery was remarkably sturdy even the rails etc.

Fair point, though I suppose what I should have said is 'do we have people who would be keen to play Infinity if we had appropriate scenery?' (The answer may well be yes; it's a genuine question.) Personally, I'd be up for Necromunda, but I think we're pretty well enough served for that with 40k and even Mordheim scenery. Some towers with connecting walkways wouldn't go amiss, but again no point unless there's enough demand.

Ben's got a pretty good point there Gus, There's plenty terrain in the cupboard for the 40k / WHFB players, but very little for anything else. Maybe a little poll of members / games played is needed and a bit of spending on new terrain? I know for the likes of Warmaster we have to play in 'Giant Land' lol
