This will be my first tournament if I attend, how did you decide on the extra rules? I understand things like Chosen hordes are nasty, but surely this just makes (for instance) a Black Orc horde the next option? Not trying to be critical just wondering how you arrived at this decision.

When sitting down to decide which restrictions you include and which you don't it is a rather narrow tight-rope.
Yes, a chosen horde would be a nightmare to have to fight against, and the same could be said for a Black Orc horde but there comes a point where you have to draw a line as to what to allow and what not too and if you asked anyone, they would rather fight Black Orcs than Chosen as most armies have something that can deal with the Black Orcs and near enough the only thing that can deal with Chosen is Chosen.
It's not just Chosen, few people would like to see a unit of 40 Swordmasters and the restrictions are mainly in place to avoid Deathstar units and stupid choices like 200 Skaven Slaves or xxx Zombies. However, there will be the occasional unit choice that makes it through, like Black Orcs, Chaos Marauders and possibly others, but unfortunately, you can't catch everything unless you sit down with every army book and create seperate restrictions for them, which some tournaments chose to do.
We try not to have to go down that route as then you get asked as to why army A is allowed this but army B isn't.

Cheers Gus. With a tourney I guess peole are looking to bring the nastiest things they can, it just struck me that with the OnG book the best troops can still be horded I plan to bring the Ogres anyway but the restrictions don't really affect my list. You can't horde Ironguts at 450 points!

mainly based on past experiences, massive units do not bring benefit to a good player, (more of a hinderance) so comes to little effect other than restrict comical armies.

Any more signed up for this. There are a few more local to sign up that haven't yet. I assume you are just keeping the entrants list on Warhammer forum and not here?

Updated the post with the same list of entrants as the warhammer forum. Think there are a few other locals still to confirm entry as well.

Indeed, congratulations to Jon Pugh for a well deserved win as after his random table allocation (ironically, the botton table) in round one, Jon found himself on the top table for the rest of the tournament. Also, congratulations to Neil Peckett for not only being Runner-Up but also being judged to have the Best Army by his peers, so scooping up both those prizes ensured he got his money's worth I'd also like to thank everyone else who came along and made the event worth while and for those within the club that help arrange it. Anyway, with that, here are the final standings
