If I ran a one day Blood Bowl event in the middle of Glasgow, what would it take for you to attend? What would put you off attending? I would appreciate any constructive feedback, thanks

It would mainly depend on the date and the cost for me.

If I said was a non-NAF tournament, 5 pound, mostly designed to encourage new/newish players to the hobby in the centre of Glasgow - date depending with at least 2 month's notice, would that be suitable?

NAF doesn't really bother me much, though I am now a member.
Advance notice of the date doesn't make much of a difference for me either. Either I have a commitment I can't get out of or I don't. I'm assuming this would probably be a weekend, in which case I don't often have to work, but it's possible. (Of course, I'm just talking about me: those who need to book time off will surely welcome decent notice.)
One other thing I should have mentioned is timing. Given that I would have to come from Stirling, I'd prefer not to start before 10am, and ideally later. If it's to be (say) three games anyway then I'd prefer to start and end later. Or perhaps it could be scheduled with four games (say, starting 9am, 11:30am, 2:45pm, and 5:30pm) but give people the option of not coming for all four.
But these are just my preferences, of course. Organize around what suits most people, and I'll try to be there if it suits me.

All worth considering, particularly considering how I was late for the Stirling tournament I was thinking Sunday. For times most start around 9 and finish around 5ish. As it's a Sunday I would ideally shunt that back to 11am-7pm. It would be unlikely for me to squeeze 4 games into a tournament like this as it would be designed for newer players and I'd expect games to go to time at that.

what would it take for you to attend? Beer, dancing girls and cake! Or just enough notice to let me get time off for good behaviour and reasonably priced parking close by. Squinty

Right folks, I've had a chat with some Blood Bowl tournament organisers and after some thought I'm going to scrap the tournament idea and put in something more permanent in place. I'll be starting up a Blood Bowl only once a week or fortnight group for people in the Glasgow area as there are loads of clubs that play but don't have much of a regular, large league. If you can make it on a regularish basis you're more than welcome to join in. More to come as I book venues and ensure we have enough boards.
