Hello folks,
Welcome to the Stirling Wargamers Journeyman League painting thread, that's a bit of a mouthful with no good acronym oh well. Anyway this is the place for everyone to show how they are getting on with painting their forces over the three months of the league.
The hope is that as painting is so often a chore, for most people, that either a little bit of an ego rub or seeing others getting things done might spur the rest of us (including me at the moment) to get the job done.
So feel free to start putting up photos of what you are painting for the league, be it work in progress or finished models.
Cheers

To get things started here is what I will be working on over the next few weeks, most of which I have had lying around for months unpainted. The first job is to get the battle box done, three models ain't so bad: Then the rest of this lot: So I have already magnetized a few arms and heads for the jacks, put together a unit and under coated them, the rest are still in pieces so a long way to go. Cheers Callum

You will have your army done in no time at this rate. I would have had my first model done... had I not decided to go nuts on the bases and ended up making these rather than just the basics: But the Destroyer is basically done until I can get some decals for it's designation numbers. I went with the technique for red out of the book and I had troubles with it on such large flat surfaces, but I am reasonably happy with it and I think the heavy shadows help break up it up a bit. Cheers

It's all the fault of the warcaster I like, as he is an expert in trench warfare, so I had wanted to to them this way at first but then figured I wanted them done quick... so much for that now, the paint style takes ages and I have reverted to doing themed bases, oh well it's the long road for me again Cheers

Another spiffing model sir, their armour and scheme is beginning to make me think of the Salarians from Mass Effect. Though that would be quite the conversion... Cheers
