A little while ago Neil McKay suggested re-fighting the excellent Hour of the Dead battle report from the latest WD. A fine suggestion, so how about Thursday 20th March?
If that is good for you how about as per the scenario :
- 3000pts, chosen freely but within the composition restrictions laid down in the scenario.
- All other scenario details played as in the scenario (modified building rules for the bridge, pre-arranged secret deployment, special VPs etc etc).
I'm off to sharpen my stakes...

The Hour of the Dead approches.
3000ts on the 20th sounds cool.
Time for Vlad to 'muster' his forces & see if he can do what he could not in White Dwarf!

Do you wanna try & make sure everything is painted for this (more me than you here Paul), then maybe some Committee member could do report & take some pics of the battle For the new Website...

If it's possible then yeah, great. I'll make sure that all mine is painted (just a couple of Handgunners needed for me). If it's a pain for you to get them finished then don't worry about it, I'm easy either way.
Re the battle report - that would be ace. It would be good to get it logged as we go along with some pictures. I'm rubbish at things like photoshop maps showing movements and all that malarkey though, but we should be able to get something pretty representative of the battle as we go along. A dictaphonne is probablyt the best way of taking notes during the battle.

OK, this is a date then. I'll make sure my camera is charged for the night to take some pictures. As for taking notes. I have a method I've used for many battle reports I've done in the past (just for games in the house) and so will sit and takes notes during your game.
At which point I'll turn my notes into a full story based battle report with a narrative theme and get it posted on the web.

Nice one Gus! This shall be cool :-)
I'd better make a decent go of things for this game. No mercy for Vlad. I shall send him and his so-called-army back from whence he came...

Hour of the Dead approaches...
On Geheimnisnacht in the year 2010, Vlad Von Carstein revealed the nightmarish truth to the world. The Count of Sylvania stood upon the battlements of Castle Drakenhof & intoned a terrible incantation from the pages of the Nine Books of Nagash. Fueled by the warpstone of Mordheim, Vlad's magic seeped over Sylvania, coiling through the unguarded Gardens of Morr, pooling in the open peasant graves. Across Vlad's lands the dead awoke. Skeletons clawed their way through the dusty soil; Zombies stirred in their muddy holes; Ghouls loped from their crypt lairs to worship their new master. With this act, von Carstein threw down the gauntlet to the Empire. The Wars of the Vampire Counts had begun. "Surrender and serve me in life, or die and slave for me in death"
Count Vlad von Carstein

Gus - I'll email you my army list as soon as I've banged it into Excel. It will have nams of characters etc so that should help.
