Hi all as you can see the show name is slightly different from last years this because a carronade was a navel gun made at the Carron iron works in the18th/19th century so it is associated with the Falkirk area so ends the history lesson.Carronade 07 will be held on the 12th of May at the Forth Valley College doors open at 10am and close at 4pm we will hopeful have between 24 and 26 traders and 20 display and participation games also the club will be running what is called a flea market. This is a US style bring and buy and works like this a person that wants to sell any kit on the day hires a table for a fee of say £1 or £2 per hour and sell his own kit he will take all the profit that he makes so there is no 10% admin fee like they have at Claymore. Please remember this is a new show and we are trying to be different so if the flea market works we will be using it next year if not then we will doing a UK style bring and buy next year we will be also asking you guys for feedback on this at the show. For more information on the show please visit www.falkirkwargamesclub.org.uk if you have any questions on the show you can PM me on this site or you will fine my e mail address on the Falkirk web site. All that is lift to say if you are going to attend this years show then enjoy your day Kenny Thomson organizer of Carronade 07

Hello, Well hopefully Kenny would have received our application to put on a table as I sent it in quite some time ago, but just to confirm - we would definately like to put on a table again this year. This time we'll be making it another participation game - a Warhammer seige.
The idea is to have a game that is happening at two levels. Some people will take control of the beseiging force, trying to breach the walls in a full-on Warhammer seige, while other players play out a series of skirmish games that will take place within the remains of the city behind the walls. The outcomes of these skirmish encounters will dictate events that ffect the game as a whole. For example - if infiltrating saboteurs might try and prevent the supplies of boiling oil making it through the city to the ramparts, or skirmishing messengers sallying forth out of the castle could summon reinforcements. Anyway - you get the idea. More details to follow as we develop it.
Cheers for now PAul
