As you'll all be aware, Kevin has moved up to the Chaos Wastes and Dr Jeff has headed off to the far reaches of the Empire. Quite apart from missing them as gamers, both Kevin and Jeff were committee members which means that we now have two vacancies to fill. The two posts are Games & Events and Membership/Publicity and we now have two willing volunteers who are stepping up to fill the posts. They are Neil Campbell and Gus McCabe.
The purpose of this notice is to let you know that they are kindly volunteering their time for the committee and to give members an opportunity to comment or object or to wish them luck.
Please feel free to drop me a line or to collar me at the club if you wish to have a chat.
If no one objects, we will bring Neil and Gus into the committee, and we'll start planning how to make the summer and autumn as action-packed a gaming time as possible.
Cheers for now Paul

Hello all,
I am very pleased to let you all know that we can now confirm that Neil Campbell and Gus McCabe are joining us on the club committee as Games & Events Officer and Membership & Publicity Officer respectively. To remind you of what those roles entail here are the details of what they will be bringing to the committee:
Gus - Membership and Publicity Officer: The role of the membership and publicity officer is to develop new opportunities for publicity and to maintain the membership scheme.
• Lead on membership drives, mail shots, advertisements and recruiting events so as to publicise the club and to seek new members. • Gather subs and membership fees from members and visitors and pass on details to the treasurer. • Maintain records of membership and produce and issue membership cards and badges. • Organise the planning and purchase of membership and promotional related items such as badges and clothing. • Maintain contact with any businesses that support the club and update those businesses with our membership details. • Seek out new opportunities for membership benefits. • Be a signatory on the club’s chequebook
Neil - Games and Events Officers (one of two posts) The role of the Gaming and Events Officers is to lead on the development of tournaments, campaigns and other events. Because of the wide-ranging tasks involved it is envisioned that two posts would be created and that a sub-committee of members would be invited to help to assist with specific events or activities..
• Organise and develop the spring WFB and an autumn 40K tournaments. • Development of all-day Saturday sessions to provide new gaming opportunities. • Develop two campaigns per year during winter and summer (WFB and 40K). • Develop a new game/gaming table each year suitable for display at Games Day and other wargaming shows throughout the summer months.
So, thank you to Neil and Gus in advance. Cheers for now Paul
