I'm 25 points over just now. I don't like those 2 random Bloodcrushers sitting in the list but don't really want to spend 35 points per model on Khorne Hounds either just to get something fast. It can only be Khorne/Nurgle too.

If you want to make it a Khorne/Nurgle alliance surely it would make sense to take atleast 1 character to lead the Khorne part of the army. Especially with how hard the new Heralds of Khorne are. So I'd suggest putting one of them in probably on a Juggernaut for the 0+ save if not throw him in a chariot .
Apart from that I'd probably just vary the list up a bit I mean you can still stay with Nurgle and Khorne but you don't need to just take (mostly) Bloodletters and Plaguebearers. Maybe put in some Nurglings, Flesh Hounds or Plaguebeasts. Flesh hounds are a steal for their points too imo definitly worth the 30 odd points.

I re-read the rules for the Nurgle Beast thing. It's effectively a unit of Varghulfs at 100 points per model. The Flesh Hounds will probably make it in and replace the Bloodcrushers but at £18 for 5 sub-par models I think that some Dire Wolves/old Flesh Hounds will be used instead. Nurglings are still doubtful for me. I read the rulebook and you can't redirect with them because skirmishers line up to the charger when charged. I never realised that before. It crossed my mind to put the Khorne Juggernaut Hero in a unit of Flesh Hounds but as they're M8 and he's M7 it would perhaps hinder their potential. Worth trying out at some point though. How many Dire Wolves do you get in a box? 10 for £12 isn't it? - Scott

Aye I did wonder why you kept talking about it like it was a single monster. They aren't quite on par with a Varghulf but as a unit they should be really good. Kind of like (even more) expensive Maneaters.
And yes you do get 10 of the new Dire Wolves for £12 although personally I much prefer the new Flesh Hound models.

Meh, I'll have a look at them in the flesh ( ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D) before I decide if I want them or not. Since there are only 5 in my list just now it's not like I would need any more than 1 box of them and if I did, I have 5 old Flesh Hound models from Gamesday. Although they could do with a rebuild with greenstuff...
And a 300/400 point unit of around 12 wounds has been in my army in the past (Dragon Ogres) and hasn't ever really impressed me. Plus the army's small enough as it is without them (saying that, it's actually rather large).
