No-one like to be reminded of our mortality but I invite you all to watch this: www.2minutes.org.uk/When I think back to how long I sat in the house (almost 20 hours) suffering from symptons like those shown I realise how crazy I was not to act.

Saw this on the telebox last night, not the cheeriest of things but certainly gets the message across. My dad had one really young, I just really hope its not a genetic thing...

Scott saw this and thought of me, not very nice of him but since I've complained about experiencing most of these symptoms recently I'll be making a GP's appointment in the next few weeks to check it out.

My dad had one really young, I just really hope its not a genetic thing... Umm, I'm afraid that it is - or rather it can be. Next time you are at your GP for anything get your cholesterol checked. I'm not trying to be a scaremonger but it's just one of those things that needs keeping an eye on.

Small blood sample and the results within a few minutes. You can also get it done at Llyod's the chemists as well, along a few others i.e. blood pressure, blood sugar etc.

Well I sat in the hour for 4 hours with an amazingly sore chest today before deciding I best walk to hospital (didn't want to worry my Mum and no friends with cars were about) turns out my lung fails, left lung collapsed a little... I get out of breath going up and down stairs now breathing deep hurts like hell

seems ok now though, to visit my GP in a few days to get a check up,> My friends Mum reassured me... "even with a partial collapse the whole lung could collapse!" (shes a nurse) which hardly inspired faith! I did dodge all heavy lifting at work today though. Score! Haven't seen this advert on the TV since, was it just a one off on the BBC?
