I thought I'd try a wee backdrop for a couple of shots of my recent Revilers Landspeeder and one or two others: My Truthsayer in some ruins: And lastly - a swampy background for a Warmachine Cryx Bonejack: I think I need to sort out the "hovering on water" effect that results from not blending the base in. I wasn't really paying attention when I set it up. I think it works out better when it's more blurred. The Bonejack just looks like a model in front of a photo - which of course it is..

Works really well, i'd be tempted to crop out the flying stand for the land speeder though.

I have no photoshop skills so I don't know how I'd do that. The shot is only a model posed in front of a A3 printed landscape photo so there are no post-production type edits in there at all. If anyone can show me how to do edits such as you've suggested I'd definitely like to know how please.

there you go, looks cool. would have gone for a more baron desolate land, doubt the imperium would appreciate greenery but there you go.

Ah right, i was thinking you'd shot the mini against a plain background, cut it out and pasted it over the pictures, couldnt tell you how to do it myself - just know that its possible

I just printed a couple of A3 sized landscapes out and set them up behind the model. Just the same way as using a blue/white gradient paper. It would look better with cooler images but it's just a first experiment really.

Those look really good, it adds a lot to the model to see them in front of a backdrop like that instead of just a plain back ground.

Yep, very cool indeed.
Reminds me of the cover of the FW books. You look at those and forget you're just looking at models.
