I've heard of Ash Waste Nomads being available for Necromunda, but they certainly weren't in the original rules and nor do they seem to be on the GW website (which currently has rules for scavvies, arbites, etc).
Does anyone know a) where the rules first appeared (White Dwarf or Citadel Journal I suspect)? and b) whether they're available anywhere? (Not asking for anyone to violate copyright - merely wondering if they are online somewhere.)

Its a good few years since they were released - A citadel journal (I think) had the rules over 2 issues.
Sorry, dont know anywhere online.

From what Ive been able to find out - the moulds for the models are broken, which is why the models are no longer available.
From that it would make kind-of sense for GW not to keep updating the rules for a product line that they can no longer support.

It might make sense for them not to update the rules, but all I really want is existing rules to be available, which doesn't seem so much to demand. In any case, I hardly think of Necromunda as something that GW supports any more. Yes, you can still order the gangs, but the models aren't generally of the best quality and priced over £20 for 8. I think it's far more fun to convert your own... (Though what about Tallarn Imperial Guard as Ash Waste Nomads - aren't they still available and a plausible substitute?)

Well, thats like arguing that the squat rules should be available online, but not updated.
Those models are no longer available, but models still exist.
(dont mean to sound harsh there - I have Ash wastes models myself, but no rules for them)
But I can see their thinking (if thats even right as its only my guess) to not disappoint potential customers by having rules but no models. The rules were available while the models were.
But, yes - Tallarn would make a suitable stand in for Ash wasters.
