I've still not read all the rules, but I'd say 'just like Necromunda' is a bit strong. Aside from things like the fantasy close combat system, it also (for example) distinguishes within each warband between a few 'heroes' and relatively anonymous 'henchmen'. But I guess it can be thought of as essentially a fantasy analogue of Necromunda - hence I'm keen to give it a go myself.
Incidentally, anyone up for a game next week? Ok, I have a game lined up with squinty.

Ok having finally got a glance at the book it seems there are scenarios for multiplayer, so who would like to try a pick up game on Thursday 23rd, I'll be general rules monkey and observe the game and check up rules etc.
It would be good for anyone who does want to play to show their interest in the next few weeks.
Ill try remember to bring blank rosters next week for anyone who wants to write up a list.

Looks like it could be just you and me, Mark. But I'm happy to give Mordheim another go. Probably using my Reiklanders (just finished painting them), though I could cobble together an undead warband I reckon.

Ah, missed that bit. Well, in that case I'm still in need of something to do tonight - Mordheim or something else.
I can probably bring both human mercenaries and an undead warband if someone gives me prior warning.

I haven't played Mordheim but I'm keen to give it a bash! The roster maker is a bit complicated, I think it's better someone give me the run down on it at the club. What the strengths/weaknesses of the races? Usual Warhammer tropes? I'd probably give the Skaven a bash as a box of Gutter Runners and my IoB models will probably do me.

Due to lack of interest I am going to put this on the. Back burner for a while. Sorry guys Does 'this' refer to the planned Mordheim night on the 23rd (which didn't garner much interest) or the whole idea of a campaign (which did seem to)? It seems to me that there was enough potential interest, but people may need a firm start date to encourage them to assemble/paint a warband.

Apologies for the necropost, but I've been wondering about getting back into Mordheim at some point; last I played it was the year it came out but it was one of my favourite systems to play, especially in a campaign context.
Anyone reckon there'd be a chance of getting something on the go at some point in the future?

I only ever played one game, having assembled a mercenary band when the above idea was floated, but I'm generally in favour of things like this (Necromunda, Blood Bowl, Gorkamorka). Not sure when I'll next be at the club, but I'd be happy to give you a game or to take part if a campaign gets going.
