Hi Folks
If anyone want anything answer to do with the new codex Chaos. Be it to confirm rumour or what not, I will be more than happy to answer them just as long as they do not break GW IP rules of course.
Like some of the background. With codex well some thing i like somthing I don't but seem alright. Some armies have been kick in the nuts (Alpha Legion).
Some nice background as well with Alpha Legion player mind games with some Marines from wearing same armour & just tauting them in general cause the Marines to turn against each other. Also a band of Wolfs turin red corsier is pretty cool as well.

Codex is great - really simple, thought enough variety to build some fun armies, and none of the gay ass Hero-hammer exploitability of the previous codex.
Also, Thousand Sons will own Marine armies now... 23 pts for a guy witha 4+ invunerable save, who can move and rapid fire his AP3 bolter, and a force sword in every squad? mmmm Yes please!
An important thing to note is that the "marks" have changed a lot - now you dont "mark" a unit per-se, you give one chap in the squad a banner that confers the mark on the squad... until he takes a lascannon round to the mouth that is - when all benefits are lost.
Cult marines are a seperate troops entry - i.e. noisemarines, khorne bezerkers, plague marines and thousand suns - they have specific options and extra abilities over "marked" normal marines -rather than all models with a mark of Tzeentch becoming Rubrics as previously for example.
Overall, Quite pleased with the codex - the really unbalanced cheesefest non-cult armies (Iron warriors, Alpha Legion) got flattened (no special rules any more!) and there is a return to the core "gods of chaos" theme.
Also of note - vehicles all come with smoke launchers and stuff as standard now, so no more fidly 3pt upgrades etc.

I think the new codex is awesome, I read it about a fortnight ago and some of it seems alot nicer.
The fluff change with Khorne is nice too, I prefer the 'martial discipline' style Khorne to 'WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYY BEZERKERZLOLZ!!!!!!' of the last codex.
What I don't like is the loss of the 1st founding legions.

Also:
First turn both Daemon Princes fly forwards, and cast Lash on an enemy unit each, bringing it an average of 7" closer. The unit should then be within charge distance. 150pts each, and on the first turn they get into combat with 5 WS7 S6 attacks.
Lash is pretty goddamn broken.

Remember though, this isn't the only use of lash. You could have multiple Vindicators and multiple Daemon Princes.
Push all their units together, then wipe them out with pie plates.
