For those who dont know, "Warbands" are a set of rules from GW to play small (200-500ish) points games of Warhammer fantasy.
They are NOT the same as the despicably crap "Border Patrol" rules as published in UK White dwarf a while back - they were actually put together by some bloke on the US development team, and make for some really fun games.
Basically, its Warhammer, with the ability to take smaller than normal sized units (i.e. minimum of 3 infantry, 2 cavalry, or 1 ogre sized creature in a unit), some restrictions on army composition (only 1 war machine and flying unit per army etc) and the ability for a unti champion to be nominated as a general (if no suitable hero is available).
Its pretty much 40k in 40 minutes, but for fantasy.
Anyway - It was previously available as a pile of seperate articles on the US GW page, but I've just looked it up again and the clever sods have revised and compiled all the rules into one downloadable PDF, fully tweaked for 7th edition, and with special rules for EVERY warhammer army (including all the storm of chaos ones, and even chaos dwarfs/dogs of war!).
There are also rules for experience / campaigns / objectives in there too.
So my point is - would there be any interest in playing this as a wee campaign? Its pretty casual, amazing fun to play, and you can get in a game alongside a normal full sized game, or play a few warbands games in a single night.
For those interested, the rules can be downloaded here --> us.games-workshop.com/games/warhammer/gaming/warbands/warbands.htm
I was thinking, we could launch straight in at 500 points, or could play the "escalation" campaign system, starting at 200 and working up. Which would be a nice oppertunity to put together and paint a handful of models for a new army without splashing out loads of cash and time getting painted, but which will still be usable!
Any takers?

PS - If there is some interest, I can print out a load of the rules packs and bring them along for those who cant print them themselves.
