Some snaps of our trip down to the WPS GT

Well Stirling Wargamers piled down to Nottingham at the weekend to take part in the Warhammer Players Society Grand Tournament. Here's a few snaps of us milling about at Warhammer World and pottering about at the tourney. All in all we had Kevin Finlay, Neil McKay, Donald McCallum, Chris Murfitt Jeff McLeod and myself, on the piss for three days and squeezing five tourney games in. It was a cool weekend. Jeff won Best Army for his superb Narnian Wood Elves so maximum kudos to him.

Great weekend really enjoyed it, was more fun than last year cause of double the number of people we went with, so it was more about going away for a long weekend with mates than a WFB tournament, the bonus was getting in 5 games of Tournament level WFB games in between all the fun.

Great trip, thanks guys. I think the Stirling boys did quite well in the rankings, all floating around the top half. Paul and I had a good clash, the result not really reflecting how close it was. Other than that a bit too much beer, never enough good curry, and some top class pool really made the weekend enjoyable.

I am back on the weekend of the 24th if anyone is around. I hope to get down on the Saturday, but I will have a bit to do. I'll get in touch about Saturday night, but if you're currently free and want to catch up PM me.

Hi Jeff - I'll be about on the 24th, at the all-day session and potentially during the evening for a pint or curry too.

The curry's a definite, I'll see if Neil and Donzo are up for it. And if the odd pint accompanies it as well...
Things are looking good for making the all day session. Played new HE for the first time, nice mixed army with only 3 levels of magic and no dragon, not overwhelming but very useable. I'll try and fit them in.
