The Black Arc has set sail to raid that much impoverished & enslaved area of the Old World known as Talabecland. It has been rumored that the fleet is led by none other than Darkblade himself, but these reports are untrue as the flag seen flying high on the mighty Arc was none other than the Banner of Nagarythe, the personal banner of the the Witch King himself, could it be true that Malekith himself is leading a raid into the Empire The General of Talabecland sent out there fastest Outriders to Altdorf to plea with Karl Franz himself, but these scouts were ambushed by Shades & Dark Riders on route. With one or two escaping but were definitely hit by the poisons from the Crossbows, will they make it to Altdorf alive to tell of the coming of the Witch King or will they die en route?

Isn't Talabecland land-bound?

Thank Sigmar that the stout lads of Talabecland are made of such stern stuff. Although a raiding party of Dark Riders and Shades fighting their dirty underhand war did indeed inflict many grievous wounds upon our forces, messengers were able to reach Talabecland in time to bring news of dark sails and black banners to the court. Karl Franz himself was in Talabecland, imposing order upon a court that has seen many rivals claim lordship since Helmut Feurbach's disapearance during the Storm of Chaos.
Perhaps Karl Franz himself will take command of the mighty Talabecland mustering force? And what are we to make of rumours of a robed man, clad in a glittering golden haze and shimmering metallic light?.....

Malekith new of the Autarii not doing their job as described to then & dispatched the Master of Assassins Shadowblade to deal with the Autarii as he see's fit.
Looking out across the plains of Talabecland Malekith notes the army of the Elector Count approaching the Dark elf war host. This will be a great day for the army of Har Ganeth a great day indeed. His eyes cast down the battle line noticing the Black Guard & Executioner assembling along with a few other blocks of Spear. Sounding the general advance Malekith takes to the sky on his trusted steed Seraphon.

Oh dear, Malekith is in trouble, methinks! He should keep these fellows alive until they can be taught a few new rules, and realy on Reapers and dragons in the meantime!

Alas for the stout lads of Talabecland. Malekith has ran riot within their ranks and coming to war dressed only in attractive red and yellow pajamas has not helped their cause. The flying squadron of Karl Franz on Deathclaw, Balthasar on Pegasus and Captain on Pegasus were soon reduced to running around on foot as their noble mounts lay dead, pincushioned by black shafts.
Cheers for a cool game Neil, and well done on a well excecuted win. 4000pts of fully painted Dark Elves facing off against 4000pts of fully painted Empire looked good!
Time to give the Empire a wee rest I think. I've been playing them pretty hard for the last year. I think I'll dig out the Tomb Kings again for an outing or two while I work on my Nurgle force.

It was a fine site to see two large well painted armies facing off against each other with some attractive terrain. I wish I'd remembered my phone so I could have taken a photo!

Yeah, was good to see the last few turns. Also wished I had brought a camera as I would have taken a battle report also.
