Hey folks and welcome to the Stirling Wargamers forum.
Hopefully this place will grow into a sizable community of people, both atendees of the games club and interested parties from all over the world.
The forum is administrated by myself (Paul C), Scott Harwood (Purecheese) and Paul B (PaleKing)
If you join and are a paid member of the games club, send me a private message with your membership number (on your membership card) and your name, and we'll add you to the Club Members group.
Cheers.
Uber.

Hey everyone, this is Jimbo here. I look forward to seeing this forum (hopefully) grow over time. I doubt people form all over the world will come to this forum however, seeing as were just a small, weekly games club in a Scottish city. At least we can dream . . .
Anyway, I hope this place livens up soon, Portent is getting more boring by the minute . . .

Woo-hoo, Reggie's in the forum bits. I'd like to say how happy I am at having a forum to issue challenges from and to do some run of the mill elf-bashing.
Hope to see this tool utilised by the gamers etc.
See you knife-fighting monkeys later
Reggie

Oops, better introduce myself too. Paul B here. Recognised easilly on club-nights as the guy handing out pencils, roster sheets, tape measures, rulebooks and thinly-veiled sarcasm Currently on a WFB losing streak, hoping that the arrival of my Tomb Kings on the table-top might change that (yeah, right...).

As intros seem to be the order of the day, I (the Cheese) am Scott Harwood, Club webdude and general all-round games fanatic. I mostly run in RPG and miniature-based game circles, but have been known to dabble in CCG's from time to time. Most likely to be seen in the club playing with Uberminkey's RPG group, EPIC, or (if the ruleset is as good as made out) resurrecting my 40K Eldar from two years of uninterrupted slumber!
To give a quick bashing to the non-believer's posting, I DO think that the forum will involve people from further afield than SWARG, as net forums only need to be interesting, varied, and sensibly used to become attractive to everyone of a common interest (do you think that RPG.net + Portent started with thousands of members?). So spread the word on any other forums you may be involved in!
Remember - the forum, like the club itself, is capable of ANYTHING, provided we do it right!
Enjoy!, and if you're a current or future club member, See you on Wednesday!!

Well hello there people, Am graeme as most of the older Stirling lot will probably know. I'am only in Scotland for the next few week now so will become a voice from the void - am going back to uni in sunderland. I mostly play 40k and enjoy makin stuff but never finishing it. But if i do i'll stick it up here for all to see and have a laugh at. I do modeling for a job/studing thingy so if u're looking for tips on materials and the like give us a shout or shine my special bat sign against the moon and i'll reponse as soon as (subject to bus timetabling) cheers, g

No one will read this besides us......
Ah well. I'm Lou, the big guy with the red ponytail.
Don't worry - it's alright to be impressed.
I want you guys to get better at 40K - since Graeme's going back down south, I need a challentge. Oh, and that's a challenge of skill - not a challenge of getting the cheapest army.
So, don't bother if you think you can become better at 40K by buying a Living Saint, or fielding Abaddon the Despoiler, or have a Grey Knight Lord jacked up to the wazzoo (techie term). If, on the other hand you appreciate actual tactical ability and feel that you can win a game on your own merit rather than your army's, then feel free to challenge me.
Oh, and I play with revealed army lists - I show you mine, you show me yours. No list, no game.

Hello from Australia then. name's Mick, I live near Sydney in Oz. Playing all sorts lately, just got into Mordheim which is how I found you guys.....long story. Just been watching Rob Roy with my brother-in-law, he comes from Harwick (?) I think that's how it's spelt. Weird coincidence methinks... cheers for now Mick
