Thanks to Stirling Wargamers - excellent day out

A a sunny day, near a picturesque part of the Forth at Stirling.

Lovely warm day, the hills looking spectacular, the Castle to one side, the monument to another.

And I was in a windowless hall, feeling ancient as I think the only older guy there was the janny

And I loved it. Not just because I had the best results I've ever had in Warhammer Fantasy (within spitting distance of half way) but the guys put on a warm, welcoming days.

They dealt with my faulty memory and understanding of the scoring system with decorum, friendliness and a nice tartan rug over my legs in my bath chair.

Nice bunch of players, well the ones I encountered anyway, the scenarios worked and the thing seemed to run smoothly. I even finished a full six turn game for crying out loud.

By the way, the pizza and almond croissants were superb.

got to say, although i did crap on points in the tournament, i had a great time.

enjoyed all 3 games, all of them against good people, might even be tempted to play fantasy between now and next years tournament

I'd just like to add my thanks for a great day from all of us in D.W.A.R.F.

The event was superb, as was the venue and food. It was good putting faces to names and internet Altar egos. Also met Col who i got speaking to a few weeks ago on Warhammer-Empire.com

It was great to play a few different folk even though i got my butt handed to me twice ;D

Just hope that we can at least emulate what you guys have achieved when we run our tourney. Your tourney will be a hard one to beat.
