I have been collecting warhammer/40k since about the age of 6 my first ever box was a really old set I got off one of my brothers friends that has the blood angels captain with the grey hair and yellow powerfist on the front think its 2nd edition? not sure, heard that he is the gamesday model so I will need to get myself a ticket for that reason alone . Kinda strayed from the point but lately sold mostly all of my armies as I am now focused on Mordheim (orcs) and Necromunda . Been looking to get into playing them as I've never actually played before just always loved the painting side. was looking about the net trying to find clubs and after looking threw a few you guys seem to be most friendly and active from reading through a few threads, was wondering if anyone in the Stirling club plays necro or mord? mainly necromunda, I love the models for the gangs. For necromunda at the moment I have: 10 orlocks (new edition 8 box + two catachan/sm scout convertion models, one flamer heavy) 9 Cawdor unfinished ordered a heavy ( 1 leader, 2 juves, 6 gangers, need a heavy to finish it off) and have just ordered a 10 goliath new edition gang, all under-coated so will need to paint up So wont be down to visit until a few weeks (exams at college atm) but if anyone was wanting to try it out if they liked the idea and dont have a gang I could bring all 3 down for people to test it out

Hi,
I'm always up for GW specialist games (well, BB, Necro, Mordheim, or Gorkamorka at least). I can't always make Thursday nights because of work, but let me know when you can make it and I'd be happy to give you a game sometime.
I've never actually seen Necromunda at the club before, but I'm sure most of the 'old timers' have played it at some point. I currently have scavvies, enforcers, and Van Saars - but all conversions rather than official GW models.
I hadn't played Mordheim until last year, but have had four games at the club this year. One or two of us were even thinking about getting a campaign going, if there's enough interest (but it looks like LOTR and Flames of War are the current flavours of the month). At the moment, I only have human mercenaries, and enough zombies to cobble together some undead, but I intend to build some possessed when I get time.
Hope to see you soon!
Ben

Yeah like Ben has said, although it may not be a game which is played at the club every single week, you'll find that most of the vets will have a gang or warband in the house somewhere which is itching to get on a table. Come along to the club and introduce yourself and as you have suggested already in your post, the best way to get people playing an older game is to to ask them, or bring opposing forces with you so you can try and tempt new people into the game Anyways, hope to see you at the club soon Personally I loved Necromunda back in the day and it would be nice to see it being played. Also, if you liked Necromunda, you'll need to give Urban War a try - very similar games.

bensaunders, not this week but next weekend I should be able to make it down.
That comes in perfect there's no doubler gangs between us, my goliaths should arrive this week, been dying to get them always been a fan of the models especially the new ones, all mine are the gw models, sadly I am terrible at conversion work.
If you ever do set up a campaign count me in, I am finishing off my orc warband at the moment.
Asurya Thats how I started was a big 40k fan, just had a cawdor gang on the side, used to buy a few models cause they looked cool then gradually started to adore the game.
I was thinkin that if people say the models and had a shot might spark there interest in necromunda, its cheaper also than building up a huge army.
Checked them out before cant remember how I found them loved the mini sergeant from Vasa I think their called hes a named character.
