Journeyman League In order to keep things separated and easier to find this thread will be the formal thread giving you all the information you need to keep track of league and the players in it. So first off a reiteration of where you can find the relevant documents: Despite what has previously been said there is no limit to the number of games you can play and therefore league points you can earn, though you must still follow the league rules as described in the above document. The only alterations to rules as they are laid out is that rather than the league ending at the end of week six it will continue on for a further six (so that no-one feels rushed to squeeze in their games) and that each week you may play either the current points level or any below that level if your opponent agrees. On Thursday the 3rd of May, the first night of the league, I will give a quick run down of the league, hand out the centre patches and organise the first games for everyone in attendance. After which everyone is free to play more games, if they wish, against who ever they choose and set up games for following club nights. Once you have finished painting models or any league games please let me know so I can collate the results and hand out chevrons patches as they are earned. Feel free to use this thread to organise your games, leave details of the outcome of any games (painted models can be logged in the painting thread), questions regarding league rules and of course any appropriate smack talk (keep it clean!). Cheers

Here is how points are accumulated: Game Points (Destroyer Award) Players earn Game Points by playing league format games. - Wins are worth 3 points each.
- Losses and draws are worth 2 points each.
Hobby Points (Creator Award) Hobby Points are awarded only for models painted during the course of this league. - Warcasters, warlocks, warbeasts, warjacks, and solos:
- 3 points for a large-based model
- 2 points for mediumbased model
- 1 point for small-based model
- Units of two models: 2 points
- Units of three to six models: 3 points
- Units of seven or more models: 4 points
- Units of only medium-based models: 1 additional point
- Units of only large-based models: 2 additional points
- Battle engines or Colossals : 5 points
Journeyman League Points (Journeyman Award) Combined total of Game and Hobby points, simple enough! All this information as well as further details are in the Journeyman League rules document.

I hope everyone is looking forward to the league starting tonight as much as I am ;D
I expect it will be fast, furious, fun as people find their feet using their battle boxes and the rules. But as the games tonight should be short pick yourself up, dust yourself off, grab another game to get more practice, league points and hopefully a few more laughs!
Catch you all later
Cheers

I have my Skorne battlebox built and primed but not painted yet.

Thats a shame Your welcome to come round and have some pratice games, but... I would prefer if league games were kept to the club, as it makes it easier to verify results etc... not that I dont trust you all to be honest just that it keeps things more straight forward and community oriented. That is why the league is being run over 12 weeks rather than six, as it was inevitable that not everyone would be able to make it every week. So dont worry about not getting in games straight away, Duncan for example wont be able to participate till the end of May after his uni exams, so your not alone. Plus you can probably get in your twelve, fifteen and twenty five point games in one night, though I would go slower and play mutiple smaller games first. In the mean time use the time to get painting, stick your photos up in the painting thread and get points that way ;D Cheers Callum

Thanks to everyone who made it along tonight and got in a game, or two. There was a good mix of results, most interesting of which was Squinty dispatching two experienced players in style (me being one of them ). I only wish I could have made more sport of it as it was all over a bit quickly for my liking. To be fair to Squinty, it was down to a lot less luck than he is admitting to, I only witnessed one good roll (above average) on your assassination runs. His wins came down more to not losing sight of how he was going to win the games, a good grasp of what his models did (not everyone remembers to check their cards in the heat of the moment) and of course 'playing like you've got a pair!' Next week allows everyone to play battle box or 15pt games, assuming they have played their minimum 1x battle box game. I look forward to seeing everyone who can make it along and to see how everyone's painting is coming together. Cheers Callum

Hello folks, I just wanted to remind everyone that it is important to add markings on every model's base to separate their front and rear arcs. I realise that there will be unpainted models used over the course of the league but if you can mark their's too it will stop any disagreements from occurring. It doesn't need to be anything fancy just a paint or pen line (or other mark) at 90 and 270 degrees to the direction the model is facing. Thanks in advance Callum

So the painting is leading the way points wise and I know there are more people out there painting away... but until models are posted in the painting thread or shown at the club you won't get any points for them.
On a gaming note each week I will set up a thread, in the challenges section, that way everyone can get a rough idea who is going to be playing that night and lay down any specific challenges they may want.
Cheers
