Glad you all enjoyed the event, hopefully I can make it next year as the two previous years were both good days out. Some pretty high placings this year from you lot, I'm sure I'll hear about them in next few days (or years if Gus had some especially bad dice rollig ).

I'll be at the all nighter before Cry Havoc but I'll be going to work instead of going to the tournament.

I still think you should have arm wrestle (sp?) with the team for first place. Or that least fight to the death between you's. Not sure that's a good idea I don't think Liddle would be any good at arm wrestling.

Sorry, cba signing in. You drew with another team for 1st place? aye identical victory points aswell, would have told Jama had he not been such an ignorant... (I'll let you fill that with one of his many adjectives), although we did make a mistake in game 1 as we were due two more victory points which would have made us 1st on our own. Happy with joint first though as it's still first in a tournament.

Had a great day at conflict today as Jamie said managed to win (yes joint winners count before you say anything Chris ) LOTR with Liddle, but well done to everyone from Falkirk/Stirling was cool coming back on the bus with all 3 winners tropheys and the 2nd place WFB. Bit crappy about the 1 trophey per team but there seems to be a good chance that will be fixed. Apart from the tournament side it was also a good day for purchases, got the Dwarf background book Grudgelore for £2, a small limited edition short story from the Malekith series by Gav Thorpe, an old Cold One Knight model to use as a DE BSB for 50p and best of all the metal covered Storm of Chaos book Darkness Rising. Breif tournament report Game 1: played two guys from Newcastle using Dwarves and Wood Elves, it was claim the centre of the board and a random game ending that once one side had suffered 50% casulties the game wound end on a 1 or 2. We managed to pick of almost all the Wood Elves before the slower Dwarves made it to the objective and our opponents rolled a 1 at the first opportunity so we 13 models on the objective to our opponents 2 giving us a major win. Game 2: up to table 1 for this one against a double High Elf army which was pretty hero heavy, this was basically a straight pitched battle only one half of your force came on from one of the two board edges. Probably one of the best games of LOTR I've had, both opponents were great and although we managed a major win in the end it was a back and forth game which could have very easily been a draw. Game 3: after the first two games there were only really 3 teams in contention ourselves and our opponents on 6 points and a team on table 2 with 4 points. What added to the closeness was that not only did we both have 6 points we both had 31 victory points. We pretty much dominated our opponents Gondor armies but the objectives were to kill opposing heroes and get your heroes within 6 inches of enemy models at the end of the game and they cleverly kept there heroes well away from our shooting. However I did have the chance to kill Cirion and win the game but some awful rolling over 4 turns saw me fail to get either the 4 or 5 required to do it. This meant the game AND the tournament ended in a draw. Overall really good day no real complaints (other than the aforementioned 1 trophey per team) I wasn't too bothered about missing out on lunch my Mixed Korma Calzone from Saturday night kept me full all day. Hopefully this isn't the last Conflict but if it is atleast it went out on a high note.

Doesn't seem very fun at all, don't know if it even qualifies as a game you don't actually do anything.

I unfortunately won't be playing since I couldn't get the time of work but I will be there in the morning to lend a hand running the tournament (and get lunch of course ).

Had a look on Warseer, the new Steam Tank looks ace, pretty much the same as the metal one but it's plastic so that's a lot better and it apparently has a load of cool bits on the sprue so every Steam Tank will look a bit different. The LOTR stuff coming out is cool too, I saw some of it down at GT during the WOTR seminar but the new plastic armoured wood elves look especially good, will definitly need to get myself a box of them for my Wood Elf army.

Unfortunately the pictures seem to be down just now, will have a look when they come back up. The plastic steam tank sounds pretty cool and most of GW's big plastics recently have been really good, apparently there's some new LOTR stuff too so I'll need to have a look at that.

That looks great Jamie, your army (what I've seen already of it) is looking really good so far.

As Jamie said, this Sat is indeed an all day session. As for things planned. I'll be coming through in the afternoon as the missus is working in the morning and will gladly give you a game of something Paul. Does that mean you're all right for locking up ? I'll be there in the morning to open up but will be leaving at about half 1, quarter to 2.

Those look really good, it adds a lot to the model to see them in front of a backdrop like that instead of just a plain back ground.

Thanks to my opponents for the games, I enjoyed all three of them (even the shades army it was an interesting challenge to play to say the least ). Looking forward to see where I placed, I reckon it is 10th. Definitley above that filthy High Elf list Gus was using though.
