Got the Elf Hero myself and got the DE Sorceress for Neil McKay as a thank you for all the mini's he's let me borrow (despite the fact that I always seem to break one).
Nice models, and it would be nice to see a Gladiator type game.

Yeah I did mean you - the pics of your models speak for themselves.

Yeah, the club is going to get together a questionnaire which members can fill in and we can get their details on the members section of the site. I was also hoping that when they brought their armies into the club or best models you could help photograph them.

Well, it certainly sounds fun, but the one aspect I really don't like about it is the fact that for 6 turns, someone you may have never met will be putting his (potentially) wee-wee fingers all over your own models.
But yeah, it would certainly tone down the amount of dirty lists if you knew you had to face it.

Well yes, many low save armies, including your IG, my Eldar would benefit from the cover saves offered by bunkers and trench lines, I learned a long time ago that battlefields using terrain pieces such as those don't need to be placed in deployment zones and horizontal to the enemy battle line.
Having heavy cover based terrain which flows diagonaly across the centre of the table, or vertically down a flank actually gives you something to move and fight over, with a benefit to whoever succeeds in caputring them.

Yes, there are indeed many feral words where battles could take place and 'some' of the WFB/LOTR terrain at the club would be suitable for a table based on those worlds, but Neil has a perfectly vaild point. There seem to be far too many games of 40k being played using WFB terrain, whilst the vast majority of the 40k based terrain sits in the cupbaord.
I'll also say this on the subject, whilst you may get away with using WFB terrain on a 40k table, simply coz the battle is on a backwater planet not yet discovered fire, let along electricity, the reverse will never be true and no whatever 40k piece you try to use on a WFB it's going to look stupid.
So, as a club, lets leave the WFB terrain for WFB games and try to maximise on 40k games using the 40k terrain.

Well I think this is now about the 50th time I've seen a model at that price. It must be a default price at the store until they change it.

Yeah, was good to see the last few turns. Also wished I had brought a camera as I would have taken a battle report also.

Well I also concur that there is yellow and YELLOW! The website I was looking at last night had 2 "yellow" colours, Sand or Gold, and I personally thought the Gold looked better. See for yourself. www.streetshirts.co.uk/

Well I did have a quick look on-line at custom t-shirts last night after seeing this thread. Not only can they be for the club members entering tournaments, but they would also be handy when running a display table at Conflict/GD etc.
I was personally thinking of a yellow t-shirt/polo shirt with a lion rampant at the breast pocket and then Stirling Wargamers over the shoulders at the back.
Any other suggestions? As I'd be more than happy to shop around for the best price if he can settle on a design brief.

Got to meet and chat with Jes Goodwin and got my Eldar titan so I'm happy.
Looking forward to next year already.

Don't know if I'll be getting anything really. Will definitely want to pick up Descent of Angels and the HH short stories from Graham McNeill and Dan Abnett that are mentioned in last months WD.

Yeah, the only arrow that doesn't work along side a Bow of Loren is the Hail of Doom Arrow.
I personally use a Lord on foot in an Eternal Guard unit with a Bow of Loren, Arcane Bodkins, a Great Weapon and an Amber Pendent, all the while the EG unit has a the Banner of Springtide.
A very nice combination.
