Congrats on another best army nominee, glad you enjoyed the weekend. The new setup with the display cabinets for the best armies is really good gives you a better chance to look at them and it's always nice for the players to have them shown off like that.

By now everyone should have seen the rules for this at the club but I'll post them up here as well just in case anyone is in need of a reminder.
The first change is that unfortunately due to lack of sign ups the format has been changed to a singles tournament instead of doubles.
Other than that the rules remain the same as below -
400 points per player You must take at least one troop choice You MAY take a single HQ choice (this is not compulsory) No model may have more than 2 wounds No special characters are allowed No model may have a 2+ save No vehicles with a total armour value of more than 33 are permitted (the total is the front, side and rear added together) No Psykers are allowed No choices may be duplicated (e.g. maximum of one tactical squad)
Hopefully see you all on Thursday.

I'll write up a Dwarf team on Thursday and you can enter it for me before next week if that's ok with you Squinty ?
I don't even have the models yet so I won't be playing this week anyway (also I've got a game of 40k arranged with Jamie).

You can still take Hell Pits and Hydras which could be a bit of an issue. Also what about a maximum unit size so no units of 150 zombies (not pointing fingers).

Not sure about warhammer but the two guys from the band 3OH!3 admitted that the geekiest thing they'd ever done was play a game of Magic backstage at a gig before they went out to support Snoop Dogg so they are definitley Magic players.

If you go to 3000pts it allows more rare and special options to be taken to allow bigger games. Triple rares? Hopefully not, even in 3000pts... It's even worse it's quadrauple rares above 3k, I reckon it's all about the 2800 point games now. I'll need to try some 2250 first though.

I was thinking that as well Gus but it's a direct copy and paste from the way Steve put it up on Warseer.
As far as results go I knew we were 4th anyway just from working out the results of the small amount of games played for LOTR so it's nothing I didn't really know.

Yeah I thought that apart from us forgetting the keys on Saturday morning the tournament went really well, two days was definitley an improvement. Really enjoyed all my games and was pretty happy by sneaking a top half finish. Thought the standard of gaming and painting was much higher this year in comparison to before. Might put up a small report later on but for now, I'll just say that I'm looking forward to next years already.
